Operator note: these terms are a draft. Confirm the commercial terms (pricing, the care plan, any minimum term, and cancellation/notice) to match CMX's actual offer, and have them reviewed before this goes live.

These terms apply to website design, build, hosting, and ongoing care services provided by CMX Web Design ("CMX", "we", "us") to you ("the client"). By engaging CMX you agree to them. They are governed by the law of England and Wales.

Our services

CMX designs and hand-builds bespoke websites, and offers an optional ongoing care plan covering hosting, security, updates, and support. The exact scope of your project is set out in the proposal we agree with you.

Fees and payment

Fees are as set out in your written agreement. Our published build tiers are Launch (£950, flat), Growth (£1,950, flat) and Platform (from £2,950); larger projects such as e-commerce, multilingual sites and custom applications are individually quoted. Every project starts with a scoping conversation that places it in the right tier before any price is quoted, includes two rounds of design revisions before go-live, and is governed by a written agreement with a defined scope schedule. Payment terms, instalments, and any deposit will be confirmed in writing before work begins. (Operator to confirm payment schedule.)

The care plan

The monthly care plan covers hosting, security, backups, software updates, and up to 2 hours of content update work per month. It is billed monthly in advance with a 6-month initial term, then rolling monthly, and is priced by build tier: Launch sites £75 per month, Growth sites £95 per month, Platform sites £125 per month. Optional add-ons are available on any tier: Google Business Profile management at £75 per month, a content plan at £150 per month (up to 3 pieces of content each month, approved by the client before publication), and advertising oversight, run directly by CMX and quoted per engagement. Large new features or redesigns are quoted separately. (Operator to confirm notice period after the initial term.)

Cancellation

You may end the ongoing care plan after its 6-month initial term, from which point it rolls monthly, in line with the notice period set out in your agreement. (Operator to confirm the notice period and any effect on hosting.)

Intellectual property

On full payment of the agreed fees, you own the final website content and design delivered for your project. CMX retains the right to show the work in its portfolio unless you ask us not to. Third-party assets (fonts, stock images, plugins) remain under their own licences.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide the content, access, and approvals we need in good time, and to ensure any material you supply does not infringe others' rights.

Liability

We provide our services with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, CMX is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the fees paid for the work in question. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
