The method

A method that cannot repeat itself.

Most studios have a house style, and every client gets it. CMX has a method instead: it starts in your real world and ends with a site no other business shares, verified in writing.

Stage 01

Provenance before palette

Every project starts with a sensory intake. We ask what your business smells like, and we mean it: the room, the materials, the tools, the hour of the day it feels most itself.

Nothing goes on a screen until it traces back to something real from your world. A palette is sampled from your building, not a trend board. That is why a CMX site could not belong to anyone else: the raw material is yours.

Stage 02

Three directions, never one

You are never shown a single take-it-or-leave-it design. Every build gets three genuinely different creative directions, each a complete reading of your business with its own layout, type, colour and motion.

You choose one, or splice the best of two. The decision that matters most is made by you, early, before a line of code is written.

Stage 03

The fingerprint guarantee

Every site we ship is logged in a written register: its layout system, type pairing, colour logic, hero and signature interaction. Every new direction is checked against that register before you ever see it. If a proposed design matches a previous build, it fails and is redrawn.

Uniqueness at CMX is verified, not promised. This site's own line in the register:

Fingerprint · cmx-wd

cmx-wd·asymmetric spine-grid movements with a live scroll gauge·Inter display + JetBrains Mono instrument labels·near-black depth scale, one electric cyan signal·generative light-field canvas under a type-led wordmark·the living spine: a luminous node travelling a fixed rail, igniting each movement

Five identity choices. No CMX client site will ever share them.

Stage 04

The critique loop

No CMX site ships as a first pass. Every build is finished in rounds: we capture the whole site as screenshots at phone and desktop size, critique every screen against the chosen direction and our craft standard, fix the highest-impact faults, and capture again.

A minimum of three rounds, on every build, before you are ever asked to sign it off. It is the difference between built and finished.

Stage 05

The photography doctrine

Real imagery, or none. We never present stock photography or generated images as your business: your customers can tell, even when they cannot say why.

If your photography is not good enough yet, we will say so, arrange the shoot, and design a build that stands typographically until the real images exist. Your site shows your actual world. That is the point of it.

In practice

How an engagement runs

Every project starts with a scoping conversation that places it in the right tier before any price is quoted. Every build includes two rounds of design revisions before go-live. Every project is governed by a written agreement with a defined scope schedule.

No surprises is not a slogan here. It is paperwork. The tiers themselves are on the investment page, prices included.

Begin

Start with the conversation.

Tell us about your business and we will place it honestly: the right tier, the right scope, no quote before either.
