The studio
One person. The whole standard.
CMX is Charlie McLachlan, building websites by hand from Padstow, Cornwall. Every project is one pair of hands from first call to launch, and the same pair afterwards.
The founder
The founder
Every CMX site is mine: I hear the brief, I design the directions, I write the code, I answer the phone afterwards. If it is not good enough to put my own name on, it does not ship, and my name is on all of it.

Why one person
Nothing lost in translation.
An agency sells you a team: an account manager to talk to you, a designer you never meet, a developer who receives the design third-hand. Every handover loses detail, and the detail is where the craft lives.
At CMX, the person who hears your story designs the site, and the person who designs it builds it. There is no translation because there are no handovers. Small is not a limitation here. It is the quality control.
Rooted in Padstow, on the Camel Estuary. Cornwall-rooted, not Cornwall-limited: CMX builds for businesses anywhere, and the register already reaches from Penryn to Surrey.
